At the heart of Casa Margarita is our head chef, Margarita, a woman whose love for cooking is as deep as her roots in Michoacán, Mexico. Growing up on a ranch, she learned the art of cooking from her mother, making everything from scratch with the freshest ingredients. In her kitchen, there were no shortcuts—only time-honored traditions passed down through generations.

 

For Margarita, cooking is more than a skill; it’s her way of expressing love. She has never been one to vocalize her emotions, but through her food, she speaks volumes. A warm pot of chicken stew when you’re feeling under the weather, a table overflowing with dishes during family celebrations—this is how she shows she cares. Her kitchen has always been a place of comfort, where everyone is welcome and no one leaves hungry.

 

After retiring, Margarita knew she wasn’t ready to slow down. She longed for an outlet to share her passion and continue doing what she loved most—cooking for others. When the opportunity arose to start a catering business, her daughter, Griselda, encouraged her to take the leap. From the first wedding they catered together, Margarita knew she had found her new purpose. The joy of feeding people, seeing their smiles, and sharing a piece of her heritage made her feel alive.

 

At Casa Margarita, every dish she prepares is a reflection of her upbringing, her values, and her love for authentic Mexican cuisine. She doesn’t follow trends or cut corners—she simply cooks the way she was taught, with patience, care, and the best ingredients. It’s not just about serving food; it’s about creating an experience that feels like home.
